Youth for Ocean (YO), an interdisciplinary and international group of young scientists, promotes the links between ocean and climate. The group was created within the Franco-American-Canadian Climate Talks on Ocean (FACT-O) framework, organized by the French embassies in the United States and in Canada, in preparation for the COP21.
The group has three objectives:
- Providing an innovating and proactive perspective on the links between climate change, ocean and societies;
- Promoting a dialogue between science and society by sharing our results and reflections;
- Seeking a better integration of the ocean in international climate negotiations.
Being at the same time young and scientists, their hope is to contribute to a better future for generations to come.
