Give the Ocean a voice during COP22!
The Ocean & Climate Platform and its partners will attend COP22 from November 7 to 17 to raise awareness among the general public, decision-makers, social-economic stakeholders and the scientific community about the major role of oceans in the struggle against climate change.
These many events will be an opportunity to draw high level decision makers and climate stakeholders’ attention toward the necessity to include the ocean in the implementation of the Paris Agreement by reinforcing knowledge of the links between ocean and climate, by supporting ocean initiatives for mitigation and adaptation to climate change and by adopting measures, specific to most vulnerable territories.

Key events :
- November 11: The Ocean & Climate Forum hosted by the Ocean & Climate Platform in collaboration with the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and Global Ocean Forum. It will begin the “Ocean” thematic day in the Civil Society Green Zone.

- November 14: Because the Ocean signatory States are pursuing their mobilization.
