On April 1st is the launch of the Trip around French coastlines for the Climate.
From April 1st to July 2015 and from October to November 2015 from Monaco to Dunkerque and from Le Havre to Paris, France
The ship OceanoScientific, steered by Catherine Chabaud (French sailor), plans a trip around the French coastlines with no less than nine stopovers to mobilize local territories on the issues on the ocean, the coastlines, and highlight innovative solutions for the climate. The launch conference will be held on April 1st in Monaco.
In order to raise the general public awareness of the importance of scientific researches on the link between ocean and climate, IFREMER (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea) is planning a traveling exhibition of 30 photographs during the Trip around French coastlines for the Climate. These pictures will draw the attention of the viewer and their explanations will be presented through research programs directed by IFREMER. The exhibit will be shown in 9 French coastal cities before being displayed on the gates of the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris (Museum of Arts and Crafts) in November and December 2015.
